How to use sharpening and using the whistle

Two sharpening slots

Insert the blade completely and vertically at an angle of 90 degrees to the sharpener into the appropriate sharpening slot. Carefully pull the knife blade with light pressure from the handle (Ricasso) to the tip towards the indicator arrows. Repeat the above process until the blade is sharp

Tapered diamond tool

Place the end of the rod against the cutting edge of the serration or intestinal hook. Adjust the grinding angle. Slide the rod through the serration or intestinal hook while applying moderate pressure and rolling the rod when pushing. Repeat until the blade is sharp. Improve the teeth by pulling the blade through the ceramic slot no. 2.

Fire starter

Place the tinder in the middle of your light, on the floor or on a bed of dry branches when the floor is wet. Insert the fire rod completely into the carbide slot no. 1 and quickly pull the fire rod through the slot towards the display arrows. Repeat the process, by quickly pulling the fire stick through the slot No. 1 until the tinder ignites

SOS whistle

Position the lips above the opening at the top left of the device and blow vigorously.

Do not cover the air outlet at the top of the product.

USE OF FIRE STARTER

1. Remove all flammable material from an area of several metres in diameter.

2. Place the tinder in the middle of your light, on the floor or on a bed of dry branches when the ground is wet. If the snow is heavily on the ground, build your fire on a “raft” of large dry sticks. Tinder sources are small dry branches, dry grass, leaves, pine needles, paper or anything else that ignites easily.

3. Remove the fire stick from the end of the product.

4. Hold the sharpener by the soft rubber handle in the left hand and lean it over the tinder. Fully insert the fire stick into the slot no. 1 CARBIDE and quickly pull the fire stick through the slot with moderate pressure down towards the indicator arrows. Sparks should detach from the fire stick when it scratches over the crossed carbide blades and falls on the tinder that ignites it.

5. Repeat the quick pull of the fire stick through the slot until the tinder ignites. Depending on the tinder used, the fire can light quickly or it takes several minutes to ignite.

6. Make the fire stronger with dead leaves, etc.

Note: When using for the first time, it may take a few times for the outer black coating to be removed.
